Dubai Heritage Vision
Cultural Attraction
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
In 2006, DUTCO Group in partnership with Anita Mehra Homayoun set up Dubai Heritage Vision LLC to develop a tourism and cultural attraction showcasing UAE cultural heritage through special-effect live shows, to be built in a desert environment in the Dubailand zone.
Edifice was assigned to develop the concept. Edifice in association with Jean-Michel Ruols Architectes conducted the initial design study which was immediately approved by the client. The client then established a partnership with DUTCO Group to implement the project in Dubailand.
Edifice and Jean-Michel Ruols Architectes assisted the client in the selection of the site and master-planned the overall scheme.
Dubai Heritage Vision presents an authentic desert village oasis experience, exhibiting the region’s rich culture, history, arts and handicrafts. It also offers spectacular shows based on the regional historical stories through world-renowned theatrical sound-and-light show effects set against the backdrop of desert dunes.
