In 2002 Al Zarooni Group, a major real estate developer in the UAE, planned to develop Mercato Mall, a new shopping center concept in the competitive Dubai market to be situated at a prime location in the Jumeirah district.

Edifice, together with Retail International, a specialist consultant in retail development and marketing, prepared the feasibility study and  developed the design guidelines for this unique Renaissance architecture-themed shopping center which is one of Jumeirah district’s most successful community malls to date.
