Oil and Gas Island

In 2003 Edifice, in association with Paris-based architects Dominique Leon, Alban Guerin Surville and Harold Cornier, undertook the architectural concepts and master planning of this ambitious scheme.

The Oil and Gas Island project involved the transformation of a 1,226,360 square meter reclaimed island into a viable commercial and residential community, comprising a dedicated business park for the oil and gas sectors, residential developments containing 400 villas and community amenities, and waterfront activities inclusive of marinas, retail, restaurants and entertainment facilities.

In addition, the project featured a specialized university and a public museum dedicated to the discovery of oil and gas within the region.
