Style City / Porta Moda is a multibillion-dollar project that was due to be initiated and developed by Abu Dhabi Investment House in 2008. The concept, developed and designed by Edifice and its associates, was a DNA-based model comprising 13 distinct facets or ‘styles’.

Inspired by the design of a Persian carpet, Style City / Porta Moda was due to feature mixed-use developments centered around art and culture: a high-fashion retail and shopping promenade offering luxury and avantgarde brands; designer villas and artist lofts incorporating eco-design; and specialized districts for education, creative arts, leisure and entertainment.
